Grayson has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. He’s always been right there by my side.

The day I was left standing in my wedding dress at the altar was no different. I even managed to convince him to join me on my honeymoon trip since I now had an extra ticket.

He always comes through for me.

But…

Ellis is my best friend. We’ve always been close, and I’m there whenever she needs me. She’s also off limits.

At least that’s what I tell myself.

Going on her un-honeymoon trip sounded like a great idea, a much needed vacation.

But something happened while there.

Promises were made.

Lines were crossed.

When we return to reality, lies and secrets are exposed. It causes a strain on our friendship, if we can even call it that anymore. Ellis begins to keep me at a distance, and I don’t like it.

But if she thinks I’m just going to give up, she has another thing coming, because I made a promise.

A promise I fully intend to keep. Whether she likes it or not.
